We build beach volleyball players
Either from the ground up or tearing down and rebuilding better habits and techniques to develop complete beach volleyball players.
Whether your goal is to play Competitive Beach Volleyball or to use Beach Volleyball to refine the skills for your indoor game, we can help you develop the skills you’ll need to compete.
Our Programs
Our Approach
Every athlete is different and at different stages of their development.
We identify what each player needs and adjust our sessions to help each athlete build on their strengths and eliminate their weaknesses.
We assess each athlete and determine the level of focus they need in these six areas to help them become complete beach volleyball players.
To the right, you’ll see the training focus of one of our more advanced athletes who is heading to the University of Hawaii in August to play Beach Volleyball.
Building a
Volleyball Player
Speed and Explosiveness:
Getting you from point A to point B in the fastest way possible. We develop speed at all phases of sprinting; initial acceleration, acceleration, top speed, and deceleration.
Stamina:
Beach volleyball requires incredible endurance. Players burn more than 500 calories per hour and play several matches per day in tournaments. We structure our practices to be more intense than gameplay so games feel easy by comparison. Our drills are run at a pace that keeps our athletes constantly moving so we don’t have to spend time on just conditioning instead of working on skills.
Skills and Technique:
Developing player techniques is essential to their development. We teach our athletes the right way to perform every skill and explain the benefits of doing so. Our athletes leave our program with a keen awareness of what they do right or wrong and most importantly “why” so they can continue to build on their development.
Game Strategy:
Understanding the game is key to your development. Identifying your opponent’s strengths and weaknesses and learning how to exploit them is the difference between good and great teams. We teach our athletes how to keep their opponents off balance and out of the system while executing the plays that give them a strategic advantage.
Agility and Change of Direction:
Arguably the most important element in Beach Volleyball. We develop a skill set that eliminates unnecessary movements and creates an explosive and dynamic athlete to achieve fluidity and deliberately accurate movement.
Mental Toughness:
The will to win is what separates those who finish on the podium and those who don’t. Our training demands that our athletes push themselves so they learn what they’re capable of. This builds confidence and belief that every match can be won if they just fight harder than their opponents.
Testimonials
Training is always fun and people are very friendly. Highly recommended!!!
.
Thanks to Marc, I've grown as a player both on and off the court.
I wouldn't have progress so much and so fast without Marc's coaching.
I always feel tired, both physically and mentally after each session, and I always look forward to the next one!
In just 6 months, I saw an immense improvement in both confidence and skills on the court.
The bonus to his coaching is how he makes you laugh while running your ass off. You couldn’t ask for a better coach.
Marc certainly knows his stuff and how to convey it to his athletes.
At first I was very confused with all the drills, however Marc was very patient with me (and others) and it surprisingly didn't take too long until I got into the routine. With each practice it becomes easier to follow instructions and focus on the drills.
